Physical Description | Hake have a thin, round body with a large mouth brimming with inward-turned teeth. Colouring is dark-grey along the spine, transitioning to a silver side and light-grey belly. They possess a squared-off tail and their dorsal and anal fins stretch the length of the spine. |
Location / Habitat | This species is found in New Zealand & Chilean waters. In New Zealand they are located around the Chatham Rise, Campbell Plateau and South Island northward to the East Cape. |
